TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: After opening the weekend with an impressive 6-3 win last night, the Cyclones will tangle with the Wheeling Nailers one last time to round out the 2013-14 home slate. On the season, the Clones have earned a 6-4-1 record against their West Virginian foes this season and have won nine of the 11 meetings at U.S. Bank Arena since the Nailers moved to the Atlantic Division.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT PRESENTED BY U.S. BANK - Fans can enjoy $1 Donatos Pizza, John Morrell Hot Dogs and Soda as we say THANK YOU to all of our great fans! Plus, we'll be giving away great prizes all night long!

SCOUTING THE NAILERS: Clark Donatelli's club had their hopes for home ice advantage dashed last night with another loss, however, they're still in position to climb as high as sixth in the Eastern Conference race. With Zack Torquato still out of the lineup, Sahir Gill is the active leader in points for the Nailers. The rookie has notched 52 points (12g, 40a) in 66 games, ranking fourth among all ECHL first-year players. Defenseman Mike Ratchuk has also been a dangerous weapon from the blue line, contributing 42 tallies (15g, 27a) in 68 contests. His offensive numbers rank third among the league's rear guards. Goaltender Eric Hartzell struggled against the Cyclones last night for the second game in a row, allowing six goals on 39 shots. On the season, he's earned an 8-5-0-1 record with a 3.13 goals-against average. Fellow netminder Mike Condon, fresh off Goalie of the Week accolades, is 22-12-0-4 with a 2.24 GAA.

LAST HEAD-TO-HEAD MEETING: APRIL 11, 2014: Josh Shalla scored twice and five different Cyclones lit the lamp as Cincinnati defeated the Nailers by a 6-3 final score in front of 3,886 at U.S. Bank Arena. With his two tallies, Shalla not only extended his point streak to seven straight games, but also set a new career high in points with 29 this season. Byron Froese and Jonathan Hazen each turned in three-point performances.

Shalla's Shelling: Josh Shalla has been one of Cincy's most consistent contributors of late. The Nashville Predators prospect has 29 points this season, setting a new career high, and has posted tallies in seven straight games.

Crank Up the Shots: Cincinnati has seen the wins rack up when they are ahead in the shots-on-goal category. In such situations this season, they are 22-9-1-3 as opposed to a 16-12-3-1 mark when trailing in the shots on net total.
