Stingrays Claim 2013-14 South Division Championship

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays are the 2013-14 South Division Champions, finishing the regular season with a 43-23-2-4 record and 92 points. The Stingrays stand first in the division for the fourth time in team history and the first time since 2000-01.

The Stingrays claimed the title after the Orlando Solar Bears, who entered tonight's game against the Reading Royals second in South Division with 88 points, fell 1-0 in the shootout and close their season tomorrow afternoon.

The Stingrays kick off the 2014 Kelly Cup Playoffs with Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Friday, April 18 at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.
