THROWBACK NIGHT / TEDDY BEAR TOSS

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: 24 hours after enjoying their largest home victory of the season, the Cyclones will close out their pre-Christmas schedule tonight with another battle against the Elmira Jackals. They were able to eclipse the five-goal plateau for the seventh time this season and second time in three games. Last night's win improved Cincy's all time record against the Jackals to 19-15-1-3

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: SING FOR SANTA / STANLEY CUP NIGHT - Fans will enjoy the sounds of local choirs singing Christmas Carols. Plus, the Stanley Cup will be in attendance for fans to see and take pictures with!

SCOUTING THE JACKALS: Dwight Mullins' club had its brief two-game road winning streak snapped to slip down into 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. Their bench remains short during this weekend series, as they have just nine forwards on the active roster. Jordan Pietrus and Jakub Culek are both atop the Jackals leaderboard in scoring, with 15 points apiece - although Culek has accomplished those numbers in five less games played. Danny Hobbs, who is tied for the team lead in game-winning goals (2), ranks third for Elmira overall with 13 points in 23 games. With goaltender Scott Greenham still on the shelf, Maxime Clermont will make his seventh straight start tonight. After last night's five-goal defeat, his record dipped to 4-6-0-1 with a goals-against average of 3.30.

About Last Night vs. Elmira: Goaltender Joe Howe recorded a couple of firsts as the Cyclones defeated the Jackals by a 5-0 final score in front of 3,418 at U.S. Bank Arena. After an impressive debut on Tuesday against Kalamazoo, the rookie net minder earned not only his first win in a Cyclones sweater, but also his first ECHL shutout. The Colorado College alum turned aside all 27 shots he faced while five different Cyclones found the back of the net, running their point-streak to four consecutive games.

Offensively Minded: While their 3.12 goals-scored per game ranks 10th overall, the Cyclones remain one of the top averages in the Eastern Conference. Only three other teams from the "East" have more average goals-per-game.

Keeping The Enemies Close: Cincy has ranked among the tops of the league in one-goal games. Despite a sizable win last night, the Clones are tied for the ECHL lead in one-goal games played. They're 9-3-1-1 record is the best in the league.

Plenty of Farmhands: The Cyclones' roster remains loaded with many players under AHL/NHL contracts. In fact, of the 21 players on the active roster, 14 are prospects of Cincinnati's higher-level affiliates.
