Colin Jacobs Reassigned to Rochester

CINCINNATI, Oh. - December 20, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals announced three player transactions prior to tonight's road game against the Cincinnati Cyclones. Colin Jacobs was reassigned by the Buffalo Sabres to the Rochester Americans while Dane Walters and Harry Radovich were added to the active roster.

Jacobs, 20, has one goal in seven games with the Jackals. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound center was a fourth-round draft pick (#107 overall) by the Sabres in the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft. The rookie from Coppell, Texas has one assist in 13 American Hockey League games with Rochester this season.

Walters, 24, is expected to make his pro debut tonight. The 6-foot-0, 200-pound rookie winger was placed on the 21-day injured reserve to begin the season. A standout at Western Michigan University, Walters racked up 83 points (39 goals, 44 assists) in 144 games for the Broncos, and won the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's Best Defensive Forward award as a senior in 2012-13. He had four assists in his lone exhibition game with the Jackals on October 5 at Wheeling.

Radovich, 23, is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound rookie defenseman out of Hobart College (NCAA-III). He signed with the Jackals on December 2 after putting up two assists and a +3 rating in seven games with Pensacola of the Southern Professional Hockey League. Radovich dressed for the Jackals' win over Fort Wayne on December 6 but did not register a shift. He racked up 42 points (6 goals, 36 assists) in 90 games at Hobart.
