ECHL Announces Fines

December 21, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Saturday announced the following fines.

Elmira's Clermont fined

Elmira's Maxime Clermont has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #263, Elmira at Cincinnati, on Dec. 20.

Clermont is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Toledo's Nedomlel fined

Toledo's Richard Nedomlel has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #267, Toledo at Kalamazoo on Dec. 20.

Nedomlel was assessed a match penalty under Rule #48.5 at 1:54 of the first period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Alaska's Mele fined

Alaska's Tommy Mele has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #269, Utah at Alaska, on Dec. 20.

Mele was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for kneeing under Rule #50.5 at 8:44 of the third period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
