Eagles Dominate Bulls 6-3

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -The Colorado Eagles (16-6-3-1) dominated the San Francisco Bulls (9-14-2-1) 6-3 at the Cow Palace on Friday night. Colorado goaltender Adam Brown shut down 32 of the 35 San Francisco shots to help secure the Eagles 6-3 conquest.

Eagles captain Riley Nelson was the first to beat Bulls netminder Tyler Beskorowany down low, 10:51 into the first frame to give Colorado the 1-0 advantage. Less than two minutes later Nelson scored his second goal of the night and his 300th Eagles goal to put Colorado up 2-0.

Just under five minutes into the second period forward Luke Fulghum gave the Eagles the 3-0 lead as he put back a rebound off the post. Colorado forward Trent Daavettila dropped the puck off on the crease for forward Jonathan Parker to put into the back of the net to give the Eagles the 4-0 lead 14:15 into the second causing the Bulls to pull Beskorowany and put in goalie J.P. Anderson. Two minutes later Daavettila kept the momentum going as he beat Anderson to give Colorado the 5-0 lead. The Bulls finally found the back of the net as forward Jordan Morrison bested Brown off of a rebound 17:29 into the second decreasing the Eagles lead, 5-1. Not thirty seconds later Bulls forward Dale Mitchell closed the scoring gap to 5-2, on a shot from the top of the crease.

San Francisco forward Tyler Gron scored on a 2-on-1 breakaway, 5:04 into the third stanza, to cut the Eagles lead 5-3. Colorado defenseman Arthur Bidwill cashed in on the lone Eagles power play of the night to finalize the score and the Eagles 6-3 victory.
