Grand Rapids Sends Two to Toledo

(Toledo, OH) - Forward Louis-Marc Aubry and Defenseman Gleason Fournier been reassigned to Toledo by the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL. Both are expected to be in uniform tonight for Toledo at Kalamazoo.

Aubry returns to the Walleye after appearing in two games this week for the Griffins. Since drafted by Detroit in the third Round of the 2010 NHL Draft, he has appeared in 130 professional games with the Griffins, collecting nine goals, 19 assists and 109 penalty minutes. The 6'4", 213 pound forward was a member of the 2013 Calder Cup Championship team, appearing in 14 playoff games. The native of Arthabaska, PQ, skated in nine games with the Walleye earlier this year, collecting three goals and two assists.

Fournier has skated in eight games this year with the Griffins with no points. The third round choice of Detroit in 2009 appeared in 52 games at the AHL level with the Griffins and has two goals and eight assists. The 22 year old defenseman has dressed for Toledo in 70 games over the last two years with three goals and 16 assists. He skated in 55 games with the Walleye in 2011-12, his first professional season.

The Toledo Walleye return home Wednesday, December 28 against Cincinnati. It's Ugly Sweater Night presented by Goodwill. Fans are encouraged to wear their ugliest Christmas sweater to the game.
