Cutters Swept by Spinners
June 21, 2016 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Lowell Spinners were able to jump out to a 5-0 lead against Williamsport Crosscutters starter Bailey Falter, and would stave off a Cutters rally to complete the sweep.
Darick Hall recorded his first three hits in a Crosscutters uniform, including his first professional home run in the loss.
Hall's 7th inning home run was not only his first, but the first hit by the Crosscutters in 2016.
Lowell used four hits and four walks to plate their first five runs over the first two innings against Bailey Falter, who took the loss in his Crosscutter debut.
Carlos Indriago worked three shutout innings and Alex Kline worked two scoreless innings in his professional debut out of the Crosscutters bullpen. Kline did not allow a hit and struck out three Spinners batters in his outing.
The loss is the Cutters fourth straight, with all four losses coming on the road.
