
ValleyCats Set to Host Lake Monsters in Three-Game Series

TROY, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats open a three-game homestand tomorrow, June 22, against the Vermont Lake Monsters. First pitch for all three games is set for 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday, June 22 - The Tri-City ValleyCats will host 50 cent hot dog night presented by Helmbold's Hot Dogs, and Hall of Fame Night presented by the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Hot dogs will be 50 cents each while supplies last. A hot dog eating contest will take place next to the Brown's Brewing stand on the first base concourse, and will be hosted by Kevin and Shanna from 99.5 The River.
Fans will be able to see artifacts from baseball history as Cooperstown comes to "The Joe!" Multiple memorabilia items will be on display including Derek Jeter's batting gloves from his Yankees record breaking 2,722nd hit, David Ortiz's batting gloves from his 400th career home run, a Johnny Evers model glove, and Jeff Bagwell's cleats from the 2000 season when he set a National League record with 295 runs scored over a two-year span.
Thursday, June 23 - Game two of the homestand is "Superheroes Night" presented by Maria College. The 'Cats will be wearing Batman themed superhero jerseys to be auctioned off following the game to benefit 'Cats Care. Fans are encouraged to wear superhero costumes to the game to join in the fun. Additionally, Market 32 will present postgame fireworks.
Friday, June 24 - Friday's contest features "For the Love of the Game: Youth Baseball Night," presented by BlueShield of Northeastern New York & Hannaford Supermarkets, when the ValleyCats will honor local youth baseball organizations, and recognize the leagues who underwent renovations during the '4 in 24' youth field renovation project. It will also feature part two of the All-Time Team Card Set Giveaway presented by National Grid, available to the first 1,500 fans in attendance.
