
Curve Take Down 'Wolves 6-3

Erie SeaWolves News Release
The Erie woes continue as a six run sixth inning for Altoona is enough to defeat Erie and improve to 8-0 against the 'Wolves this season.
Erie opened the scoring in the bottom of the third inning as Connor Harrell would reach on an error to open the frame. Austin Green would then step up to drill his second homer of the year as Erie jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
Erie would keep this 2-0 lead until the top of the sixth inning. In the sixth Altoona would strike would six runs led off by a Max Moroff double on a line drive to center field. Josh Bell would then step up to smack his second homer of the season tying the at 2-2. Willy Garcia and Stetson Allie would then both single to give Altoona runners on the corners. An Eric wood single would then score Garcia, and a Sebastian Valle single would bring home Allie, 4-2 Altoona would lead it. Erie starter Chad Green would be pulled after giving up four runs in the sixth.
Joe Mantiply would come in relieving Green, but Altoona would continue to score. Edward Salcedo would reach on a fielders choice scoring Wood, then Gift Ngoepe would single home Valle. After six complete the Curve would lead 6-2.
The Seawolves would score one more run in the bottom of the ninth inning off of a Tony Thomas homerun, his first in an Erie uniform. However, it would not be enough as Altoona would retire the next two batters securing the 6-3 victory.
Chad Green takes the loss for Erie on the mound; he drops to 2-7 on the season. Aaron Dodson picks up the win for Altoona as he improves to 3-2 on the year.
