Gary Sanchez completed a five-run eighth inning with an opposite field three-run home run for the Thunder (32-24) as they rallied for a 6-2 victory over Harrisburg (22-32) in front of 6,682 fans at ARM & HAMMER Park on Saturday night. Prior to the game, Thunder Manager Tony Franklin was inducted into the Trenton Baseball Hall of Fame.

With the win, the Thunder have now won seven straight games which is the longest streak in franchise history since the team won nine games in a row on their way to the 2013 Eastern League Championship.

Trailing 2-1 with one out and runners on first and second in the bottom of the eighth, rehabbing Yankee infielder Brendan Ryan (1-for-3) was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Greg Bird followed with a go-ahead two-run single through the left side. After Eric Jagielo walked, Gary Sanchez homered off the right field foul pole to take a 6-2 lead for the Thunder.

Sanchez has now hit seven home runs in his last 19 games and is tied for third in the Eastern League with eight home runs on the season.

The rally took a tough-luck loss off the line of Brady Lail who threw seven innings of two-run ball. Lail did not walk a batter a struck out a season-best eight batters; he became the third pitcher to throw seven innings in a start this season for the Thunder.

Jake Cave recorded his second straight two-hit night and scored the first run of the game for the Thunder in the bottom of the fourth. Ali Castillo recorded his tenth multi-hit game in 21 games played with a 2-for-4 night at the plate.

Saturday was the second time this season that the Thunder recorded six hits in an inning. The Thunder also earned their third victory this season when trailing after seven innings (3-16).

Your Thunder will look to sweep the Senators on Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm. The Thunder will send LHP Eric Wooten (0-1, 6.38), the Senators will send RHP Colin Bates (1-0, 3.18).
