Cameron Perkins has now homered in six of the last 13 games played and is now on a nine-game winning streak. He led the Fightin Phils (30-25) to a 3-0 win over the Binghamton Mets (27-28) as he brought in all three runs.

Roman Quinn and JP Crawford led off with back-to-back singles in the top of the first inning off B-Mets starter Robert Gsellman. Quinn stole his 25th base and scored on a RBI groundout by Perkins. Perkins came through again off Gsellman in the top of the third inning as he hit a two-out RBI double to score Aaron Altherr and give the Fightins a 2-0 lead.

Reinier Roibal (2-1) tossed five scoreless innings and only gave up three hits and one walk with four strikeouts to earn his second win of the season. Adam Loewen tossed three scoreless innings with one walk and one strikeout. Perkins hit his eighth home run of the season in the top of the ninth inning off B-Mets reliever Bobby Parnell to give Reading a 3-0 lead. Stephen Shackleford recorded three strikeouts to close out the game in the bottom of the ninth to earn his twelfth save in thirteen tries.

The Fightin Phils wrap up the road-trip on Sunday afternoon at NYSEG Stadium. First pitch is at 1:05 pm. Fans can listen to the game on CBS Sports Radio 1240 AM/98-5 FM and fightins.com beginning at 12:35 pm.
