Crunch Add Defenseman Dan Spang

Syracuse, NY (February 21, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have received on loan Dan Spang from the Quad City Flames. In addition, the Columbus Blue Jackets have loaned left wing John Vigilante to Quad City.

Spang, 25, has appeared in 30 games with Quad City this season, tallying one goal, seven assists and 10 penalty minutes. He has also skated in 17 games with Las Vegas (ECHL) this year, notching two goals, 10 assists and 10 penalty minutes.

A native of Winchester, Massachusetts, Spang has skated in 163 combined American Hockey League games with Cleveland, Worcester and Quad City, collecting 13 goals, 51 assists and 77 penalty minutes.

Vigilante, 23, has appeared in 52 games for the Crunch this season, tallying seven goals, eight assists and 14 penalty mintues.

A native of Dearborn, Michigan, Vigilante was signed by Columbus as a free agent on July 8, 2008.

The Crunch's next game is Sunday, February 22 as they travel to Hamilton to take on the Bulldogs.
