John Vigilante Joins Flames

Moline, IL- The Quad City Flames today announced that John Vigilante has been loaned to the Flames from the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League. Vigilante has spent the entire 2008-09 season with the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch. The Flames also announced that defenseman Dan Spang had been loaned to the Crunch.

Vigilante has appeared in 52 games with the Crunch this season. The 23-year old left wing has 15 points on seven goals and eight assists. He spent the previous two seasons with the Milwaukee Admirals. Last year, Vigilante recorded 46 points (15 goals and 31 assists) in 73 games. As a rookie in 2006-07, Vigilante scored 27 points (eight goals and 19 assists) in 62 games.

Spang joins the Crunch after splitting the season between the AHL's Flames and the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers. He played 30 games in the Quad Cities and recorded eight points on a goal and seven assists.

The Flames visit Peoria on Sunday for a 3:00 p.m. showdown with the Rivermen. The broadcast begins on 93.9 FM WYEC at 2:35 p.m. with The Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show. Fans can also watch the game for just $6.00 at ahllive.com.
