Coyotes Recall MacLean from San Antonio

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled right wing Brett MacLean from the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate. MacLean will join the Coyotes today in Columbus and will be available for tonight's game against the Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.

In 50 games with the Rampage this season, the 6-foot-1, 200 pound MacLean has recorded 23-26-49 and 28 penalty minutes. MacLean leads the entire Rampage team in goals, points, plus/minus (+13), power play goals (9) and shots (211) and ranks second in assists. MacLean also ranks 7th among all AHL players in goals and 10th overall in points.

In two games with the Coyotes this season, the 22-year-old native of London, Ontario has registered one goal. In his NHL debut on Dec. 29, 2010, MacLean tallied his first NHL goal to help the Coyotes defeat Los Angeles 6-3.

MacLean was drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (32nd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
