The heat will be turned up on an already scorching divisional rivalry, as the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Chicago Express. Tonight will be the first of three straight between the teams. On the season, Kalamazoo is 3-1-0-0 against Chicago.

This evening is the third-leg of a four-game road swing for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo took the first two games of trip with a weekend sweep last week against the South Carolina Stingrays. The K-Wings enter this evening one-point ahead of the Express in the North Division standings.

Looking to snap a two-game losing streak, the Express return home to Sears Centre where they have had some success. On the season, Chicago is 5-3-0-1 at home, which includes a record of 1-1-0-0 versus Kalamazoo.

Archibald Makes Debut

Forward Darren Archibald is set to make his K-Wings debut. Archibald, who began the season in the AHL with the Chicago Wolves, was reassigned to Kalamazoo by the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.

Good After the First

Kalamazoo has a perfect record this season when they lead after the first period on the road. The K-Wings are 5-0-0-0 away from Wings Stadium when they enter the second period with a lead.

Northern Battles

After play their last six games against teams from the South, the K-Wings will head back into the North Division. Kalamazoo's next six games will be against their own division, including three straight contests versus the Chicago Express.

Forward Kory Karlander has had a knack of scoring clutch goals for the K-Wings. Karlander has recorded two out of past three game-winning goals for Kalamazoo.
