Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas - In front of 2,500 fans and a talking bunny for "Over 18 Night," the Las Vegas Wranglers tallied a 4-2 win over the Stockton Thunder for their second home win in a row.

The Wranglers got off to an early lead as forward Ryan Weston netted a power play goal with assists from center Ash Goldie and defenseman Barry Goers five minutes into the game. The team went up 1-0 and Wranglers goaltender Joe Fallon kept the Thunder from scoring in the first.

Three minutes into the second period, Wranglers forward Scott Campbell secured his sixth goal of the season with an assist by forward Chris Francis for a 2-0 Las Vegas lead. Almost eleven minutes later, Stockton got on the board with a goal by right wing Matt Foy and right wing Jesse Fratkin on the assist. The team only held that 2-1 score for sixteen seconds, though, as Goldie turned around and tallied a goal of his own with help from forwards Thomas Kiriakou and Francis. The score was 3-1 in favor of Las Vegas until Thunder right wing Kevin Baker notched a late goal to end the period 3-2. Baker was assisted by left wing Ian O'Connor.

To secure a 4-2 win in the last three minutes of the game, Wranglers forward Adam Miller collected a goal with assists from forwards Eric Lampe and Judd Blackwater. Goldie, Campbell and Francis were each named one of tonight's Three Stars.
