December 7, 2011 - ECHL (ECHL)
Stockton Thunder News Release
Ash Goldie scored a goal, added an assist and goaltender Joe Fallon made 26 saves to help the Las Vegas Wranglers send the Stockton Thunder (10-8-3, 23 points) to a 4-2 defeat before 2,525 fans at Orleans Arena on Tuesday night.
Ash Goldie blistered a one timer from the right point that caught a piece of Ryan Weston's stick, who earned his fourth goal of the season at 4:24 of the first period for a 1-0 Las Vegas lead.
Scott Campbell put the Wranglers up, 2-0 just three minutes into the second period on a rebound at the goal mouth and the Thunder responded on Matt Foy's sixth goal of the season, cutting the deficit to a goal at the 13:59 mark when he stashed a rebound past Joe Fallon. Jesse Fratkin got the puck on net with a rebound chance at the right circle.
Ash Goldie restored the two goal advantage at 3-1, one shift and 16 seconds later, when he deflected Thomas Kirakou's wraparound bid past Olivier Roy's glove.
Kevin Baker rocketed a one timer past Fallon, on a centering pass by Ian O'Connor, with 1:21 left in the period to get the Thunder back to a one goal deficit.
Adam Miller put on the finishing touches with an insurance goal with 2:42 left in the game, finishing a centering pass by Eric Lampe at the goal mouth.
Roy took the loss with 20 saves, while the Thunder had a 3-0-1 streak at Orleans Arena (dating back to last season) come to an end.
