Preparing for back-to-back games between one another, the Kalamazoo Wings will face-off against the Charlotte Checkers. Kalamazoo leads the season series over Charlotte with a record of 3-0-0-1, which includes winning both previous encounters at Wings Stadium.
Playing the third-leg of four-game home stand, the K-Wings are riding an 11-game home unbeaten streak (10-0-0-1). With 65 points, Kalamazoo holds a three-point lead for second place in the North Division and is tied with the Florida Everblades for fifth place in the American Conference.
Hitting the ice for the third of a four-game road swing, Charlotte has won both games thus far on the trip. With 66 points, the Checkers lead the Everblades by a single point for second place in the South Division and are a point ahead of the `Blades and the K-Wings for the fourth seed in the conference.
