Game Preview

Tonight will be the third of four meetings between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Evansville IceMen. This will be the first visit for the IceMen to Wings Stadium this season. Kalamazoo is 2-0-0-0 versus Evansville. The teams will wrap up the season series on March 4th back in the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Winners of three straight, the K-Wings will look to continue their streak during the 15th annual Pink Ice and 4th annual Susan G. Komen Night presented by Eaton Corporation. The K-Wings are 10-4-0-0 during the Pink Ice Game, including a record of 4-1-0-0 since joining the ECHL.

This evening is the sixth game of a season-long seven-game road swing for the IceMen. Evansville has dropped the first five games by a combined score of 23-8. Evansville comes into Wings Stadium looking to snap an eight-game losing streak.

Pretty in Pink

This evening the K-Wings will host the 15th Annual Pink Ice Game. Kalamazoo is 10-4-0-0 on pink ice, which includes a record of 4-1-0-0 since joining the ECHL during the 2009-10 season.

Family Matter

Tonight will be the K-Wings debut of Steven Kaunisto. Kaunisto, who is the cousin of forward Ray Kaunisto, was traded earlier this week from the Florida Everblades for future considerations.

Good Things Come in Threes

Kalamazoo's Ludwig Blomstrand and Gergo Nagy each begin the night on three-game point streak. Besides the point streak, Blomstrand is also on a three-game goal streak; netting four goals during the stretch.

The K-Wings are starting to heat up. Kalamazoo begins the night on a three-game winning streak.

Evansville has been tough to stop when they lead after the first period. The IceMen are 7-2-0-0 when leading after the opening 20 minutes.
