Goalie Duel in Stockton Ends in Idaho's Favor

Stockton Thunder News Release
Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder battle hard and generate 34 shots on net, but run into tough goaltending and fall to the Idaho Steelheads 1-0 Friday night at Stockton Arena. Thunder goaltender Kent Simpson was no slouch as he made 34 saves, with the one goal coming by way of a bad bounce and a rebound. Unfortunately, the Thunder offense couldn't solve Idaho goaltender Jack Campbell and the home team loses for just the second time in regulation in 19 Thunder Goes Pink games. The Thunder will look to recover Saturday as they faceoff against these very same Steelheads for the second game of this weekend's three-in-three against Idaho.
