
Cougars' Mateo Added to All-Star Roster

GENEVA, IL - The Midwest League has announced that Kane County Cougars infielder Danny Mateo will replace Beloit infielder Eddie Rosario on the Western Division All-Star roster. Rosario was moved to the disabled list today after sustaining an injury. Mateo joins teammates Matt Ridings, Lane Adams and Jorge Bonifacio as Cougars on the All-Star squad. All four players will be part of the league's annual mid-season classic, hosted by the Cougars on Tuesday, June 19 at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. Entering play this evening, Mateo's 76 hits are tied for third-best in the Midwest League.
