BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - F Tim Konsorada scored twice and G Yutaka Fukufuji made 36 saves to lead the Bakersfield Condors to a 6-2 victory over the Fresno Falcons in front of 4,602 fans at Rabobank Arena Monday night. With tonight's win, the Condors move into a three-way tie with the Phoenix RoadRunners and Stockton Thunder for seventh place in the National Conference. 2008-3-24 ianiero Despite managing just two shots on goal in the first period, Bakersfield (22-36-9, 53 points) held a 1-0 lead over Fresno (39-19-8, 86 points) after one. Konsorada took a centering feed from F Andrew Ianiero and buried it for his 31st of the season at 8:30. Fukufuji turned aside all nine shots he faced in the stanza, picking up where he left off after a shutout performance on Saturday night in Fresno.

Ianiero, RW Chris Di Ubaldo and D Jay Langager quadrupled the Condors lead with three straight goals in the first six minutes of the second period. After Langager put Bakersfield up 4-0, Fresno G Jake Moreland, who allowed four goals on 11 shots, promptly skated off the ice and was replaced by G Kris Mayotte. Konsorada netted his second of the game, as he banked the puck off Mayotte and into the net from the goal line, putting the Condors up by five through 40 minutes.

C Steve Slonina padded the Condors advantage on the first shift of the third frame. His sixth of the season came just 14 seconds in and made it 6-0. The Falcons added two goals later in the third to account for the final score. C Kenny Bernard and RW Matt Stefanishion both lit the lamp, ending Fukufuji's shutout streak at 120:44, and the Condors went on to win, 6-2.
