
Condors Head to Shafter, Judge Father - Son Cub Scout Cook-off

Upcoming week of February 26th - March 2nd:
· Tuesday, February 25th - Condors winger J.J Wrobel and defenseman Mike Marostega will be visiting Shafter's Redwood Elementary School as a part the schools Community Reader Program. The Condors will be reading to children with special needs, as well as second grade students from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm. Redwood Elementary is located at 331 North Shafter Avenue in Shafter.
· Tuesday, February 25th - Condors winger Jamie Cooke will be at Leo B. Hart Elementary for the Annual Cub Scout Dinner at 5:30 pm. Cooke will be a judge in the father-son dessert cook-off. Leo B. Hart Elementary is located at 9501 Ridge Oak Drive.
· Wednesday, February 26th - This week the Condors Coach's Show will be heard a day early while it takes to the road, as Thursday is a travel day for the Condors. The show will begin at a special 6:00 pm time as part of an extended "Condors Countdown" on KGEO AM 1230.
Week in Review, February 17th - February 23rd:
· Thursday, February 20th - Condors players Jason Ralph and Jonas Lennartsson visited Houchin Blood Bank to promote KUZZ 107.9 Blood Drive Night. To date, fans have donated over 500 pints of blood to the Houchin Blood Bank. Each fan that donates one pint of blood will receive a complimentary terrace admission to the Tuesday, March 4th game. Houchin Blood Bank has two locations, at 5901 Truxtun Avenue and 2600 G Street.

· The Condors monthly Internet auction features "Dinner with Two Condors Players!" This is a chance for you and a friend to have dinner with two of your favorite current Condors players (subject to availability) at Chili's! Log onto www.bakersfieldcondors.com to place your bid. Proceeds go to benefit the American Red Cross - Kern County Chapter.
· Just because the team is out of town, doesn't mean you can't see them play. Join the Condors and Time Warner Cable for "Condors Classics". Every Friday night the team is out of town, there will be a classic Condors game seen on channel 21 (digital 21). This week's game features the April 6, 2002 dramatic victory for Ken Baker against the Idaho Steelheads. Don't forget that all Friday home games will be televised live on Time Warner Cable Ch. 21 (digital 21) with the next game on March 21, 2003.
· Saturday, March 15th is the Condors Jersey Off Out Back Raffle & Auction sponsored by KLLY 95.3 & Burlington Homes. Special Condors jerseys, designed by three Condors fans, will be auctioned off after the game, plus everyone in attendance has a chance to win on of five to be given away. All proceeds form the jersey auction will be donated to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
· Saturday, March 15th is also the Condors 4th Annual Christian Music Festival, presented by Jesus Shack Productions. Come enjoy live music as five Christian rock bands will perform outside of Centennial Garden on Centennial Plaza prior the game, beginning at 2:00 pm. Churches wishing to purchase discounted tickets to the game, contact Alex Sheffield at the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825).
· The Condors find themselves in the #12 slot in the 'AA' minor league hockey poll on the web site www.inthecrease.com.
