
Kingfish acquire Hewson and Renzi

Baton Rouge Kingfish News Release
The Baton Rouge Kingfish announced today that they have acquired forward Scott Hewson and future considerations from the Pensacola Ice Pilots in exchange for center Marquis Mathieu. In a separate transaction, the Kingfish acquired forward Mike Renzi from the Arkansas RiverBlades in exchange for Sam Paquet.
Hewson has picked up 6 goals and 10 assists in 52 games this season with the Ice Pilots. In addition, he has a +7, plus-minus rating while accumulating 56 penalty minutes.
A rookie out of Bowling Green State University, the North Vancouver, BC native tallied 71 points in four collegiate seasons. His 22 points was third best for Bowling Green during his senior season.
Renzi began the season with the Dayton Bombers where he tallied 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points in 16 games. He had 3 points in 5 games with Mississippi before being trade to Arkansas in December.
The Mississauga, Ontario native picked up 9 points in 25 games with the RiverBlades while posting 28 penalty minutes.
Renzi, a rookie this season, tallied 108 points last year in his final junior season with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League.
Hewson and Renzi should be available for the Kingfish on Wednesday when the Arkansas RiverBlades come to town.
