Condors Fall in Shootout to Idaho

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (8-5-0-1, 17pts), owned by the Edmonton Oilers, picked up a point in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Idaho Steelheads (9-3-1-0, 19pts) Friday night in front of 5,266 fans at Rabobank Arena.

The shootout win earns Idaho the extra point and they now lead the Condors by two points atop the Western Conference standings.

FIRST PERIOD

IDAHO GOAL: F Alex Belzile pounded in a rebound from the top of the crease at 5:10; IDH leads, 1-0 Shots: BAK - 9 | IDH - 8 SECOND PERIOD

CONDORS GOAL: F Sebastien Sylvestre (3rd) wrist shot from the left circle up under the crossbar at 13:40 (MacNeil, Lessard assists); GAME TIED, 1-1 Shots: BAK - 12 | IDH - 6

THIRD PERIOD

Penalty Shot - IDH F Ludwig Karlsson - no goal CONDORS GOAL: F Chase Schaber (4th) slipped home a backhander (Fienhage, Kremyr assists) at 5:01 (sh); BAK leads 2-1 IDAHO GOAL: Belzile with his second of the game, one-timer from the right circle at 11:25 (pp); tied 2-2 Shots: BAK - 9 | IDH - 5

OVERTIME/SHOOTOUT

No scoring in overtime OT Shots: BAK - 1 | IDH - 3 Idaho scored twice in the shootout while the Condors went 0-for-4
