STOCKTON, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors dropped the first of two preseason games on the weekend, 4-1, to the Stockton Heat on Friday night at Stockton Arena.

FIRST PERIOD Stockton Goal: LW Garet Hunt snapped a shot on a breakaway from the slot. Unassisted Time of goal: 4:07; HEAT LEAD, 1-0 Fight: LW Jonathan Lessard took on D Dustin Stevenson Stockton Goal; LW Kenny Agostino with a power-play goal from the top of the left-wing circle. Assists: Johnson, Poirier; Time of goal: 10:37; HEAT LEAD, 2-0Stockton Goal: RW Austin Carroll took a cross-crease feed and deflected home. Assists: Lomberg, Klimchuk Time of goal: 19:54; HEAT LEAD, 3-0Shots: STK 14, BAK 5

SECOND PERIOD Fight: LW Kale Kessy dropped the mitts with F Turner Elson early in the 2nd period.Fight: Kessy's second fight of the night, this time with RW Hunter Smith at the 14:18 mark. Since it was Kessy's second fight of the night, he received a game misconduct, a rule put in place in the American Hockey League last season. CONDORS GOAL: C Kyle Platzer finished off a shorthanded two-on-one. Assist: LW Braden Christoffer; Time of goal: 16:30; HEAT LEAD, 3-1Shots: STK 9, BAK 9

THIRD PERIOD Stockton goal: Elson potted his first of the night from Carroll. HEAT LEAD, 4-1. Shots: STK 13; BAK 2
