San Diego Gulls Announce Partnership Agreement with California Coast Credit Union
October 2, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
San Diego Gulls News Release
SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls today announced a comprehensive, multi-year partnership agreement with California Coast Credit Union, which will become the Official Presenting Partner of the San Diego Gulls.
"We are extremely excited to partner with California Coast Credit Union for many reasons," said Gulls President of Business Operations Ari Segal. "This partnership reflects a mutual commitment to grow and extend two great brands: San Diego's oldest financial institution and San Diego's newest hockey team. The synergy between our organizations is extraordinary, ranging from our values of commitment, community, service and leadership, to our love of sports, and finally, our complementary blue and orange colors!"
As part of the agreement, California Coast will receive a range of traditional and non-traditional assets, including significant signage throughout the Gulls' home rink, Valley View Casino Center, a branded hospitality zone above the Gulls' player entrance and game entitlement rights to multiple games. California Coast will be the presenting sponsor of "Willie O'Ree Night," which will be held on October 16. The credit union's logo will also be featured prominently on the Gulls' jerseys and several player appearances will be made at California Coast branches throughout the season. Members of California Coast will also enjoy ticket giveaways and ticket discounts throughout the season.
Additionally, the credit union will be the presenting sponsor of the "Cal Coast High Five Tunnel" and player entrance area. Every game of every season of the agreement, California Coast Credit Union will host several children and their families, and provide them with the opportunity to "high five" the players as they enter the ice, just before the opening puck drop.
"We are excited and proud to partner with San Diego's newest professional sports franchise," said Todd Lane, California Coast Credit Union's President and CEO. "Our partnership with the Gulls gives us the opportunity to support our hometown team and to give back to the community by hosting children at every Gulls home game who wouldn't normally have that opportunity, while also raising funds for a local non-profit charity focused on helping local disadvantaged youth."
