Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, have signed F Dan Kissel and D Erik Burgdeorfer. They are expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Condors take on the Las Vegas Wranglers at Orleans Arena.

Kissel, 23, recently completed his senior season at the University of Notre Dame, where he compiled 25g-32a-55pts in 140 games. His best campaign came as a sophomore with the Irish, when he tallied nine goals and 23 points in 43 contests and won the team's Most Improved Player award. The 5-9, 180-pound Kissel was known for his speed and penalty killing during his tenure at ND.

Burgdoerfer, 21, just finished his senior season at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. The defensive defenseman had 7g-12a-19pts in 129 games at RPI, where he won Most Improved Player as a freshman and led his team with 106 PIM as a junior.

Both players will make their professional debut tonight for the Condors. Also making their debut with the club are F Mark Voakes and D Scott Marchesi, who were acquired earlier this week in a trade with the Cincinnati Cyclones.

ON THE DOCKET:

The Condors take on the Las Vegas Wranglers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Friday and Saturday's games commence at 7:05 p.m., while Sunday's matinee drops the puck at 2:05 p.m. These are the final contests of the Condors-Wranglers season series this season, and just eight points separate them in the Pacific Division standings.

The Condors return home for three games next week, starting with a 6 p.m. start on St. Patrick's Day. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for Happy Hour, featuring half-price beer from 5-6 p.m. in Condors cups, and $1 hot dogs all night long, sponsored by ABC23, 98.5 The Fox and Bud Light.
