Stingrays Gameday: Stingrays Celebrate Military Appreciation Night Tonight Against Florida

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays kick off a three-in-three home weekend and a five-game series with the Florida Everblades tonight at 7:05 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum. Tonight is the ninth of 13 scheduled meetings between the two teams this season.

Tonight is Military Appreciation Night featuring special camouflage Stingrays military jerseys! The jerseys will be auctioned off LIVE at the end of the game. Tonight is also $2 Green Beer Night and the Stingrays will be skating on green ice in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Be sure to arrive early because the beer special only lasts until the end of the first period.

On Saturday, March 13 at 5:00 p.m., the Stingrays celebrate Faith and Fun Night with 100.9 WAY FM with a special post-game concert with Group 1 Crew! Magic Number = 3 points

The Stingrays have a magic number of three heading into tonight's game against Florida. The Stingrays need a win and a Gwinnett Gladiator loss to clinch a spot in the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Getting Tricky

Stingrays forward Rob Ricci scored his first professional hat trick on Sunday, March 7 in the Stingrays' 6-2 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones. Ricci buried goals at even strength, on the power play and short handed. The Brampton, ON native leads all Stingrays rookies with 22 goals and 23 assists for 45 points.

The Stingrays are 23-3-4 this season when scoring the first goal of the game.
