
Columbus Signs Defenseman Jamie Pushor

Syracuse, NY (December 10, 2003) â The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Jamie Pushor.
Pushor, 30, appeared in eight games with Syracuse this season, recording two assists and 10 penalty minutes, after signing a P.T.O. with the Crunch on November 18.
In 76 games with Pittsburgh last season, Pushor recorded three goals, one assist and 76 penalty minutes. An original member of Columbus (2000-01), Pushor appeared in 136 games with the Blue Jackets during the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons, tallying three goals, 16 assists and 144 penalty minutes. Pushor made his professional debut in 1993-94 with Adirondack (AHL) and has appeared in 196 career AHL games (all with Adirondack) with four goals, 44 assists and 379 penalty minutes.
Pushor made his NHL debut during the 1995-96 season with the Detroit Red Wings, appearing in five games with one assist 17 penalty minutes.
Originally drafted by Detroit with their second choice, 32nd overall, in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft, Pushor was a member of the 1996-97 Stanley Cup Champions with the Detroit Red Wings. A native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Pushor was originally selected by Columbus from Dallas in the Expansion Draft on June 23, 2000.
The Crunch host Manitoba for the first-ever regular season meeting on Friday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. Chicago visits the War Memorial at Oncenter on Saturday, December 13.
