The Manitoba Moose last night officially announced they recalled goaltender Rob McVicar from the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL.

McVicar was called up earlier this season by the Moose on November 11, 2003, but failed to appear in any game action. He has appeared in 10 games in his rookie season with the Columbia Inferno of the ECHL. He's recorded six wins, two losses, and a tie along with a goals against average of 2.76 and a save percentage of .903.

The 21-year old native of Brandon, MB played four seasons with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League, appearing in 147 games and accumulating 81 wins, 49 losses, and nine ties. His career goals against average with Brandon was 2.86 with a career save percentage of .895.

McVicar was the Vancouver Canucks' fifth choice, 151st overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
