Columbus Returns Lindstrom and MacKenzie

Syracuse, NY (December 11, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have returned left wing Joakim Lindstrom and center Derek MacKenzie.

Lindstrom, 24, has appeared in 22 games this season with Syracuse tallying 11 goals, 13 assists and 24 penalty minutes. Lindstrom has also appeared in 3 games with Columbus this season, registering a goal. A native of Skelleftea, Sweden, Lindstrom was drafted by Columbus in the 2nd round, 41st overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

MacKenzie, 26, has appeared in 27 games with Syracuse this season, scoring 10 goals, 5 assists and 24 penalty minutes. MacKenzie has also appeared in 1 game with Columbus this season. A native of Sudbury, Ontario, MacKenzie was signed as a free agent by Columbus on July 11, 2007.

The Crunch's next game is Wednesday, December 12 as they travel to Lake Erie to take on the Monsters. The Crunch return home Saturday, December 15 to battle the Hamilton Bulldogs at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
