Stars Announce Weekly Radio Show

Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Stars, in partnership with KRNT 1350 AM and Scooter & Babs Sports Bar and Grille, are pleased to announce the launch of a new weekly radio show. The show will run on 12 Mondays during the season from 7:00 to 8:00 PM on KRNT 1350 AM beginning Monday, January 14.
The show will be hosted by the voice of the Iowa Stars, Jim Erickson and will focus not only on the Iowa Stars players and coaches but on AHL and NHL action around the leagues. Fans will have the opportunity to come out and meet the players at Scooter & Babs or listen to the show from the comfort of their home via radio or KRNT's website, www.1350krnt.com. Players and/or coaches will be on hand for each show to talk about recent and upcoming games as well as the stuff that happens off the ice!
"We are excited for this once in a lifetime opportunity to host the show and have the Stars players, staff, and of course, all the great Stars fans at our place. We can't wait for the first show," said Scott Martin, Stars season ticket holder and owner of Scooter & Babs Sports Bar and Grille.
The Iowa Stars are looking for a fun new name for their weekly broadcast and invite fans to visit the Stars website at www.iowastarshockey.com to make their suggestion. At the website, under the Fan Zone tab, visit the Official Iowa Stars messageboard (fans will need to create a profile to post suggestions). In the Stars Talk forum find the "Name That Show" thread to read and post your suggestion for the weekly radio show's name. The Stars fan whose suggestion is chosen will be a guest on the first broadcast! The show's name will be chosen on January 2.

STARS INFO: Bring your dog to the game on Saturday, December 15th because it's Pucks for Pups Night with the Iowa Stars. The first 100 dogs to the game will receive a bandana, courtesy of the Animal Rescue League.
