Canucks Recall MacIntyre, Raymond, and Jaffray; Moose Recall Ellis and Sign Gajic to PTO

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled goaltender Drew MacIntyre, and left wingers Jason Jaffray and Mason Raymond from Manitoba.

As a result, the Moose announced they have recalled goaltender Julien Ellis from the Victoria Salmon Kings (ECHL) and signed centre Milan Gajic of the Salmon Kings to a pro tryout contract.

In his second season with the Moose, MacIntyre, 24, has appeared in 16 games this season, posting a record of 11-4-1 with a goals against average of 2.28, and a save percentage of .926. The Charlottetown, P.E.I. native is currently tied for second among all AHL goaltenders in wins (11) and holds the third-best save percentage in the league. In a season and a half with the Moose, MacIntyre has played in 57 games with a record of 35-16-3 and a goals against average of 2.21 and a save percentage of .923.

Jaffray, 26, is currently second among Manitoba scorers with 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points in 19 games. Last season, the Olds, Alberta native led the Moose in scoring with 35 goals and 85 points in 77 games and also finished the season tied for tops among all AHL scorers with nine game-winning goals. In 183 games in his Moose career, Jaffray has 61 goals and 96 assists for 157 points and 173 penalty minutes.

Raymond, 22, has played nine games with Vancouver and 16 games with Manitoba this season, his first as a professional. The Calgary, Alberta native recorded his first NHL point (an assist) Oct. 5 vs. San Jose while he has tallied six goals and 14 points with the Moose, including a hat-trick and five-point night Nov. 21 at Rochester. He was originally Vancouver's second-round pick, 51st overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft,

Ellis, 21, has appeared in 12 games with Victoria this season, registering a 9-2-0 record, 2.91 goals against average, and .921 save percentage. Vancouver's sixth-round pick, 189th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the Sorel, Quebec native made his professional debut last season with Manitoba, earning a 1-7-0 record, .884 save percentage, and 3.37 goals against average in eight games.

Gajic, 26, is currently second among all Salmon Kings scorers with eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points in 16 games played. The Burnaby, BC native has also earned two assists in four games with the AHL's Houston Aeros this year. Last season, Gajic tallied two goals and five points in six games with the Moose.
