Lafayette, LA - The Louisiana IceGators will host their Central Division rival, the Mississippi Sea Wolves this Friday, January 30 at the Cajundome at 7:05pm. The Wolves are on an eight-game win streak, the longest streak in the ECHL this season. The IceGators seven-game streak is the second longest in 2003-04. Each team has 60 points. It is not just the division lead on the line. The top spot in the Western Conference is the prize these teams are after.
Friday is also College Night at the Cajundome. Tickets are $5 with a college ID and 16oz. beers are $2. The IceGators wanted to provide an opportunity for college students on a budget to experience IceGator hockey.
Reminder: The IceGators and the Pensacola Ice Pilots have switched two games. The IceGators will travel to Pensacola this Saturday, January 31. On Friday, February 6 the Ice Pilots will visit the Frozen Swamp.
The home game originally scheduled for January 4, 2004 was moved to St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2004. This date change allowed Gators fans to watch LSU win the National Championship.
