Portland Sea Dogs News Release
Portland, Maine- CLYNK, a revolutionary way to redeem bottles and cans, has teamed up with the Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, to begin full-scale recycling efforts at Hadlock Field. CLYNK has provided the Sea Dogs with nearly 20 recycling containers throughout the ballpark. CLYNK will donate 100% of the money collected from bottles and cans at Sea Dogs games to the Strikeout Cancer in Kids Program at the end of the season.
"The Sea Dogs are thrilled to be teaming up with CLYNK to help our organization become more eco-friendly," said Todd Jamison, the Sea Dogs Director of Broadcast and Video Operations/Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing. "The fact that CLYNK is willing to go the extra mile and partner with the Strikeout Cancer in Kids program shows their commitment to the Sea Dogs and the community."
"CLYNK couldn't be happier to be partnering with the Sea Dogs on their recycling program," said Frank Whittier, CLYNK company spokesman. "Together with Hannaford, Clynk is all about making recycling as easy as possible. To work with such civic-minded organizations as the Sea Dogs and to help a great cause like the Maine Children's Cancer Program is what Clynk is all about."
The Strikeout Cancer in Kids fund has raised more than three million dollars for the Maine Children's Cancer program since its inception in 1995. The program is expected to raise nearly $350,000.00 this season.
CLYNK recycling centers can be found now at Hannaford Supermarkets in Sanford, Scarborough, Windham, York and coming soon to a Hannaford near you.
