ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves return home following the Eastern League All-Star Break to begin a seven game homestand and a four-game series with the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles)...The ‘Wolves are coming off of their third series sweep of the season which came prior to the break against Akron. The sweep of the first place Aeros put the ‘Wolves just three games behind heading into the final 53 games of the season. The SeaWolves also now have a 4.5 game cushion over third place Altoona which now stands 7.5 games out of first. In the jumbled Southern Division, five teams are within nine games of first place (including Bowie) and the gap between second and fifth place stands at six games...The last time the SeaWolves and Baysox met was at Prince George's Stadium (June 26-29). The SeaWolves swept the Baysox in that four-game set for their second series sweep of the season. Erie is 3-1 against Bowie at home and this series marks the final meeting between the two clubs at Jerry Uht Park. RHP Andrew Kown makes his 10th start of the season tonight for the ‘Wolves who look for four-in-a-row. Kown's last start came in Reading on July 5. Kown lasted just four innings because of rain. He took the loss...RHP Radhames Liz, the number five prospect in the Orioles organization according to Baseball America, is on the mound for Bowie. Liz is 0-1 in his only start against the ‘Wolves back on April 20. In that game, Liz went five innings, allowing four runs on five hits, walking three and striking out eight.
