Chiefs vs. Great Lakes 6:30 pm
Another spectacular fireworks show will be taking place on Saturday, July 19, after the Chiefs begin their three-game series with Great Lakes at 6:30 pm. The fireworks will be sponsored by Brewers Distributing and Budweiser and will occur following the contest and a Pitch-In for Charity, presented by Aquatech Pool and Spas and Little Caesar's Pizza. The proceeds from the Pitch-In will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. Tennis balls will be on sale for $1 on the concourse for fans to purchase the chance to win prizes from Central Illinois restaurants and businesses.
WCCD 107.9 FM is presenting their annual Diamond Dig on Saturday night following the fireworks show. For the event, a diamond from Kohl's Diamond Gallery will be buried in the infield of O'Brien Field, and CD 107.9 will qualify 25 selected fans for the Dig on air morning, midday, and afternoon. Also, 25 contestants will be qualified at the game that night through trivia questions. The 50 contestants will have the opportunity to search and dig for the diamond after the game. Contestants will be given clues as the clock winds down, and whoever finds the diamond first will get to keep the stone.

Chiefs Win 11 in a Row! After four losses to start second half, Chiefs come back to set franchise record
The Chiefs offense came together late in the first half of the season and looked primed for a run at a Midwest League playoff spot in the second half. However, when the second half began in Beloit on June 19th, the bats were once again silent. Peoria went on to drop the first five games of the second half, while scoring nine runs total in those five games before something clicked.
