Dragons Take Game 1

Two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning pushed the Dragons past the Snappers, 8-7 Sunday night. Charles Nolte picked up the loss for Beloit, allowing two runs in ninth to Dayton.
Beloit got on the board first with an RBI-single from Jeanfred Brito in the top of the second inning. Brito's single plated Mark Dolenc, who earlier singled, from second base.
After Dayton took a 2-1 lead with runs in the second and third inning, the Snaps took the lead right back in the top of the fourth.
Estarlin De Los Santos cracked a two-run triple in the fourth to put Beloit back on top, 3-2.
Beloit then extended their lead to 5-2 in the top of the fifth inning with RBI-singles from Mark Dolenc and Greg Yersich.
The Dragons then tied the game up at 5-5 with two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Beloit's Greg Yersich then broke the tie with an RBI-single in the top of the seventh inning. Yersich's single allowed Rene Leveret, who earlier singled, to score from second base. Leveret's run put the Snaps up 6-5.
The Snappers then carried a 7-6 lead into the bottom of the ninth, where they would eventually let the game slip away.
Charles Nolte allowed a bases-loaded single through the hole at second to give the Dragons a 8-7 victory.
