July 14, 2008 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Beloit Sky Carp News Release
Danny Hernandez allowed a walk-off, solo homer to Dayton's Angel Cabrera in the bottom of the ninth inning to drop game two of a three-game set, 4-3. The loss is Hernandez's second of the season.
After falling behind 1-0 early, the Snappers took the lead in the top of the third inning with two runs of their own.
RBI-singles from Ben Revere and Deibinson Romero put Beloit up 2-1 after two and a half innings.
Jeanfred Brito then extended Beloit's lead to 3-1 in the top of the fourth with an RBI-double to right field. Brito's double allowed Mark Dolenc, who earlier singled, to score from second base.
Dayton then scored a run in both the fourth and fifth inning to tie the game up at 3-3 after five innings.
The game remained tied until the bottom of the ninth when Danny Hernandez would allow the walk-off bomb.
