Johnstown, PA - The Johnstown Chiefs defeated the Wheeling Nailers by a score of 5-2 at the War Memorial in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Eric Przepiorka tipped P.J. Atherton's shot from the point past Wheeling goaltender Andy Franck at 4:47 of the first period to open the scoring for Johnstown. At 7:23 of the first period, Jean Desrochers picked up the rebound of Maxime Boisclaire's shot to give the Chiefs a 2-0 lead. Adam Henrich picked up a loose puck in the Wheeling end and beat Andy Franck glove-side to give Johnstown a 3-0 lead. Desrochers would add his second of the game at the 42-second mark of the second period to give the Chiefs a 4-0 lead.

The Nailers' Jon Foster and Sean Collins each scored to pull Wheeling within two, but John Adams would score on the empty net at 17:32 of the third to seal the Chiefs' win. Morgan Cey stopped 39-of-41 shots to earn the win, and the Chiefs went

1-for-4 on the power play.
