Chiefs, Dragons Series Opener Postponed

PEORIA, IL IL- The Peoria Chiefs and Dayton Dragons series opener has been postponed due to a wintry mix and anticipated freezing temperatures. The game will be made up in a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 30 with the first game beginning at 5:00 pm.

Tomorrow the Chiefs will send RH Hung-Wen Chen (0-0, 0.71) to the mound against the Dragons RH Scott Carroll (0-1, 5.29). For Wednesday's first game, the Chiefs will send RH Billy Muldowney (0-0, 0.00) in his first start of the year and LH Zach Ashwood (0-3, 3.52) for game two. Dayton will start RH Curtis Partch (0-3, 7.11) for game one followed by RH Matt Klinker (1- 1, 3.07) to start game two.

The series will now begin on Tuesday April 29 at 11:00 am in the Chiefs annual D.A.R.E. Day. The Chiefs will be celebrating with the kids of Central Illinois for their successful completion of the D.A.R.E. program. Gates open at 9:30 am and all participating students in the D.A.R.E Day events will be treated to a fun-filled day of music, baseball and on-field entertainment.

Individual, Group and Season ticket packages for the 2008 season are currently on sale. Individual tickets for the rest of the homestand and any 2008 regular season games and can be bought through 1-866-MYTICKET and at the O'Brien Field Box Office. Ticket packages include 70-game package, 35-game package, 17-game package, and a Build Your Own package (minimum 12 games). Group tickets are also on sale for all O'Brien Field party areas and the seating bowl for all 70 home games.
