
Chiefs Acquire Peterson From Atlantic City; Also Sign Former UMASS Captain

Johnstown, PA â Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Brett Peterson from the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies for cash. In an unrelated move, the team has also signed rookie forward Peter Trovato who has just completed his collegiate career at the University of Massachusetts.
Peterson, 23, appeared in 56 games for Atlantic City this season, scoring 3 goals and 12 points along with 41 PIM. Prior to turning professional, the 6'0, 200 LBS native of Northborough, Massachusetts played four seasons at Boston College. In 157 career games with the Eagles, Peterson had 8 goals and 28 points.
Trovato, 23, appeared in all 38 games this season with the University of Massachusetts, posting ten assists. The 6'0, 210 LBS native of North Attelboro, Massachusetts was the captain of the Minutemen this season and was the teams iron man, setting school records for games played and consecutive games played. Trovato only missed one game in his collegiate career. In 145 career games with UMASS, he had 13 goals and 35 points.
Both Peterson and Trovato are expected to be in the Chiefs line up tomorrow night when they host the Peoria Rivermen at 7:00 p.m.
