
San Diego Sports Arena Changed To "ipayOne Center at the Sports Arena"

SAN DIEGO â The San Diego Sports Arena, announced Tuesday a new name change for the facility after negotiating a naming rights partnership with ipayOne, San Diego's cutting edge real estate company.
The new name for the San Diego Sports Arena will be the ipayOne Center at the Sports Arena.
This new arrangement between the San Diego Sports Arena and ipayOne was approved at the March 14 San Diego City Council's open meeting.
"We're very pleased to have ipayOne as our new naming rights partner at the San Diego Sports Arena," said Ernie Hahn, General Manager of the new ipayOne Center at the Sports Arena. "This deal will certainly provide ipayOne with an excellent opportunity to brand their company throughout the region. With our multitude of concerts, family shows and sporting events, this relationship will make a big impact for their company. San Diegans will start to see the new ipayOne Center changes quickly and we are excited to announce the news before the start of U2's world wide tour opening date on March 28.

The San Diego Sports Arena has been San Diego's "Place For Entertainment" since it opened on Nov. 17, 1966. Over the past 38 years every top entertainment act has performed at the facility from Elvis Presley and The Rolling Stones to Bruce Springsteen and U2. The arena has also been home to numerous world class sporting events over the years along with family shows such as Disney On Ice, Ringling Brothers Circus and the Harlem Globetrotters, to name just a few.
