Center Ryan Martindale Returned to Everblades

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced Tuesday that center Ryan Martindale has been returned to the team from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. Martindale was initially loaned to Syracuse on January 28 on an amateur tryout agreement, but was signed by the Crunch to an AHL contract on Monday. He was then assigned back to the Everblades.

Martindale, 24, returns to Florida after recording three assists in 12 games with the Crunch. Martindale has posted 17 points (5g, 12a) in 22 appearances with the Everblades this season.

Last season, Martindale registered 14 points (8g, 6a) in 19 games with the Crunch and 13 points (8g, 5a) in 45 appearances with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). The 6-3, 207-pound center has totaled a balanced 67 points (30g, 37a) in 180 career AHL games, while logging 17 points (9g, 8a) in 39 ECHL contests with the Stockton Thunder from 2011-2012. The Oshawa, Ontario native was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the third round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Everblades return to action this Thursday when they battle the Atlanta Gladiators in Duluth, Georgia beginning at 7:05 p.m. Fans can catch the game broadcast on 770 AM.
