Angeli Loaned to Manitoba

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that Darik Angeli has been loaned to the Manitoba Moose (AHL).

Angeli, 25, played in 48 games for the Monarchs this season, scoring 15 points on six goals and nine assists. The first-year skater had a career high two points Dec. 18 at Fort Wayne on a goal and an assist.

The 6-foot-3, 203-pound Lakewood, Colo. native receives his second call to the AHL, his first coming Nov. 4 when he played in the first AHL game of his career against the Utica Comets.

Before signing with the Monarchs, Angeli spent four seasons at The Ohio State University, playing in 128 games and scoring 45 points on 25 goals and 20 assists.

The Monarchs are back in action tonight (7 p.m.), when they take on the Adirondack Thunder from the Verizon Wireless Arena.
