
Cameron's First Pro Goal Gives Stingrays Their 19th Straight Win

Duluth, GA - Forward Brett Cameron scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in his professional debut to help the South Carolina Stingrays (37-18-1-6) grab their record 19th consecutive victory with a 4-3 decision over Gwinnett Gladiators (17-39-3-2) at the North Charleston Coliseum Sunday afternoon.
Stingrays forward Joe Devin opened the scoring and grabbed the prized Undie Sunday goal on the power play at 12:27 of the first period rifling a shot past Gladiators goaltender Mike Lee (L, 45 saves on 49 shots). Defensemen Drew MacKenzie and Marcus Perrier added assists.
Forward Tim Spencer gave the Stingrays a 2-0 lead early in the second period from defenseman Lee Moffie and Cameron. The Gladiators responded with two quick tallies to even the score. Forward Will MacDonald snapped the Stingarys' lengthy shutout streak over the Gladiators beating netminder Jeff Wyer (W, 23 saves on 26 shots) at 4:33 on the power play followed by forward Tyler Murovich's fifth goal of the season at 7:04. The Stingrays reclaimed the lead at 8:20 as Devin powered in his second goal of the contest on the man-advantage with help from forwards Andrew Rowe and Brandon Wong. MacDonald pulled the game back to even at 12:50.
Early in the third period, Cameron buried his first professional tally and the game-winning marker from forwards Patrick Gaul and Spencer. The Stingrays finished the game 2-for-6 on the power play while the Gladiators went 1-for-2.
The Stingrays are giving away "Southern Charm" Shep Rose bobbleheads to the first 1,000 fans on Friday, March 20 as the Stingrays take on the Indy Fuel at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum! Members of the cast including Shep will be at the game! The second season of "Southern Charm" premiers on March 16 on Bravo TV!
