Mavericks Tyson Gimblett Active for Sunday Game vs Mallards

INDEPENDENCE, MO (March 15, 2015)- The Missouri Mavericks announced Sunday afternoon that they have activated defenseman Tyson Gimblett for their Sunday afternoon contest against the Quad City Mallards. Gimblett was acquired from the Florida Everblades in exchange for future considerations ahead of the trade deadline on Thursday.

"Tyson is an experienced defenseman and a great addition to our blue line," said Richard Matvichuk, Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations for the Missouri Mavericks. "We're excited to get him in the lineup tonight against Quad City."

The 6'3" 212lb Newtonville, Ontario native joins the Mavs after three seasons with the Florida Everblades where he has tallied 7 goals, 13 assists, and 252 penalty minutes through 101 games. Gimblett will wear number twenty-nine for the Mavericks.

The Mavericks play their next game on the road in Moline, IL on Sunday afternoon at 4:05pm (CST) against the Quad City Mallards. Missouri returns home on Mar. 28 for a 7:05pm (CST) matchup against the Wichita Thunder at Independence Events Center for Fan Appreciation Night and their Warm-up Jersey Auction!
