NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - The Gladiators (17-37-3-2) and the South Carolina Stingrays (36-18-1-6) close out their 16-game season series with one more game at the North Charleston Coliseum on Sunday afternoon. In last night's game, the Stingrays set a new ECHL record for most consecutive wins with 18-straight, thanks to Marcus Perrier's four-goal, five-point night and Jeff Jakaitis' 21-save shutout, his third straight shutout of his former team.

Records Set This Weekend: The Stingrays have set several records this weekend against Gwinnett. On Friday, they set the new record for most consecutive road wins in ECHL history with their 11th-straight victory. In last night's game, they won their 18th-straight game, and Jeff Jakaitis set the new ECHL record for longest shutout streak in league history - 259:32 minutes without allowing a goal. The last time he let a goal go by was 3:01 into the first period against the Gladiators on March 6th.
Gladiators Ahoy: Four players currently on the Gladiators roster have been assigned from their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates- James Melindy, Dan O'Donoghue, Greg Carey, and Mike Lee - and seven more - Joel Hanley (POR), Louis Domingue (POR), Jordon Southorn (POR) Dyson Stevenson (POR/BRI), Bretton Stamler (HFD), Casey Pierro-Zabotel (NOR), and Joe Stejskal (IAW) - have spent time in the AHL this year.
Milestones: Sean Berkstresser is one game from his 450th professional game ... Geoff Paukovich is one goal away from his 50th as a pro ... Zach Yuen will play in his 100th ECHL game today ... James Melindy is five games from his 100th professional game.
